Things to do near Sierra Meadows Ranch

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area & June Lake Ski Area are the perfect spots to hit the slope.

Kick your winter up a notch and get in great shape with Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center. Check out the new X country loop that’s out our back door while you’re at it.

Our Ranch is dog friendly. Or, you may take Fido to these dog parks: Mammoth Lakes Basin, Shady Rest Park, or just up Sherwin Creek Road, about 1/10 mile from the ranch.

Catch a lift to the top and then bomb down the groomed lanes on a high-speed snow tube at Woolley’s Tube Park & Snow Play.

Get off the beaten path and take in the scenic sights on a snowmobile adventure through the High Sierra.

Visit The Village at Mammoth for dining, shopping and event.

Mammoth Rock ‘n Bowl is a modern bowling alley with flatscreens & a bar, plus an upscale restaurant serving French cuisine. How do the French say, “Strike!”?

Our Crowley Cabin is a favorite for fishermen and women. Just drop a line in nearby Mammoth Creek and wait for a bite.

Just a few miles from the Mammoth Lakes Basin, you can get out on the water, enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and spot over 300 species of birds, and even black bears. 

Perfectly situated in the Sherwin Recreational Area, guests have access to multiple trails right off the ranch.

Whether you’re going full speed down the mountain, riding one of the many trails nearby, or taking a more leisurely e-bike around Old Mammoth, there is a bike riding experience perfect for all. 

Mammoth is a gateway to Yosemite National Park, with the east entrance less than an hour away. Then allow another two hours to reach the breathtaking Valley floor. (Tip: If planning for a day trip, leave early!) 

A geological wonder is an understatement when describing this national treasure. And it’s a must see to believe and a top pick for our staff. Be sure to allow time to spend most of the day to get down into Reds Meadows. 

A must see on your return from Devils Postpile for a breathtaking view of Mammoth Lakes’ signature skyline, the Minarets, which are part of the Ritter Range.

Estimated to have been formed around 600 years ago in the Inyo/Mono crater eruption, Hot Creek Geologic Site is a wonderland with dozens of natural hot springs bubbling between the rocky walls of a river gorge. Absolutely amazing and really cool to see in person!
